Okay, okay, I know.....it has been WAY too long since I posted anything on this blog! And thanks to those of you who faithfully check it. It has been a busy month! Our big news is that on May 8, at 12:27pm. Melinda Grace Capps was born into our little family. We are so blessed and thankful that everything went well and we are all fine. At birth she weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces and was 18 inches long. I think now she is probably pushing 7 pounds and I'm sure she's grown another inch since then. We are all doing well at our house. Big sister Laura is making the adjustment well and loves to kiss and love on her little sister. Kevin and I are tired, as I'm sure you can imagine, and most of the time I walk around in a hazy, sleep deprived daze. Thus, the reason for no posts or emails lately! And I'll add more pics as I can. Our new digital camera broke the week before we had Lindy, so I've had to rely on my mom's camera and my 35 mm. camera for pictures. I'll post more later! Love to you all! Kara and family

Yippee! I'm loving your blog update! The pictures are all so wonderful, but my favorite is the one of all 4 of you in the hospital at the top right. Excellent! Glad things are going well for you. I'm so glad you finally got to post some pictures and thoughts! Lindy is lovely...as expected. I hope you're all enjoying the changes...and there are many aren't there??
Did you get the phone message I left you last week? We'll be in Gallatin again in about 3 weeks for Michael's brother's wedding. Maybe we can squeeze in a visit with you then.

congratulations to all 3 of you. susan has been keeping me up to date on y'all. lindy was a good size baby for a month early. glad she did well with the early delivery. also glad laura is loving her! can't wait for the next update.
